SimonMed, Matricis.ai launch endometriosis MRI AI pilot
The pilot will assess EndomAI, an MRI-based tool designed to help radiologists detect, map, and characterize endometriosis.

SimonMed and Matricis.ai are conducting a clinical pilot of EndomAI, an MRI-based AI tool for endometriosis detection. Matricis.ai described the project as the first U.S. clinical pilot of AI-assisted MRI analysis for endometriosis.
EndomAI is designed to help radiologists detect, map, and characterize endometriosis from MRI scans. SimonMed said the workflow-integrated tool is intended to provide a standardized diagnostic framework and decision support for follow-up care.
Approximately 200 patients with suspected or diagnosed endometriosis will be included in the initial pilot phase at select SimonMed centers.
Study endpoints include diagnostic consistency, lesion detection, and radiologist confidence when communicating findings to referring OB/GYN physicians. All interpretations will remain under the supervision of SimonMed’s board-certified radiologists.
Matricis.ai said the software generates standardized reporting templates and structured outputs. The platform also maps lesion distribution and extent to support surgical planning and follow-up care decisions.
SimonMed operates more than 170 centers across 10 states and has more than 300 subspecialty-trained, board-certified radiologists, according to the company.
Matricis.ai said EndomAI is its flagship product and uses deep learning to assist radiologists in endometriosis assessment from MRI. The company is also developing AI tools for other gynecological diseases, including adenomyosis and fibroids.
