FluoroSpeed X1 ST adds dose reporting and positioning aids

Shimadzu Medical Systems USA’s latest R/F table configuration includes a 17-inch x 17-inch flat-panel detector, bariatric-capable table loading, wheelchair access, and ST workflow features.

Shimadzu Medical Systems USA has released the FluoroSpeed X1 edition ST, a patient-side radiography/fluoroscopy table system.

The system is part of Shimadzu’s FluoroSpeed series. It is designed for conventional radiography and fluoroscopy exams performed from a patient-side table configuration.

Table loading is listed at 665 lb static patient weight capacity and 500 lb all-motion weight capacity. The system also includes a 31.5-inch aperture opening for wheelchair access, according to the company.

Imaging hardware includes a 17-inch x 17-inch flat-panel detector in the table bucky. Shimadzu said the detector supports both fluoroscopy and radiographic use.

Operator controls include an ambidextrous control handle with fingertip access to anatomical program settings and programmable function buttons.

ST configuration additions include a crosshair line marker for radiation-free patient positioning, LED lighting under the deck, and a lead apron with a transparent viewing window.

Radiation dose structured reporting is also included in the ST configuration. Shimadzu said the system is now available in the U.S.
