AIRS Medical has secured a strategic growth investment from TA Associates to support expansion of its AI-powered MRI software business.
The company said the investment will fund global growth, product innovation, and further development of its radiology technology portfolio. Financial terms were not disclosed.
AIRS Medical develops MRI acceleration and reconstruction software designed to support scan speed, image quality, and workflow performance. Its product portfolio includes SwiftMR, an AI-powered MRI acceleration and image-enhancement solution, and SwiftSight, an MRI quantification and structured reporting platform.
The company said its technologies are used by more than 1,700 healthcare institutions across more than 40 countries. AIRS Medical also said its AI tools are used in more than 6M MRI exams annually.
Founded in 2018, AIRS Medical positions its software around helping providers increase imaging capacity without replacing existing MRI infrastructure.
“MRI scanners are among the most valuable assets in healthcare, yet many providers continue to struggle with growing imaging demand and limited capacity,” said Hyeseong Lee, MD, co-founder and chairman of AIRS Medical.
TA Associates said AIRS Medical’s platform addresses capacity and workflow challenges facing radiology providers. The private equity firm said the company’s international presence across more than 40 countries supports its growth position.
The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
