Siemens Healthineers has appointed Martin Stumpe as chief technology officer, effective June 1, 2026. CEO Bernd Montag announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post.
Stumpe will report to Montag. He joins from Danaher, where he most recently served as chief technology and AI officer, according to Montag’s announcement.
The appointment adds software and healthcare AI experience to Siemens Healthineers’ technology leadership. Montag cited Stumpe’s background in software development and artificial intelligence in healthcare.
“His deep expertise in software development and artificial intelligence in the healthcare space, will significantly contribute to increasing our impact and leadership in Healthcare AI,” Montag wrote.
Before Danaher, Stumpe held roles at Tempus Labs, Google, and NASA, according to Montag. MassDevice reported that he joined Danaher in 2024 as chief data and AI officer before becoming chief technology and AI officer in October 2025.
Montag linked the appointment to Siemens Healthineers’ focus on healthcare AI, patient twinning, and precision therapy.
