Rad AI adds COO and first clinical chief to support reporting growth
Rad AI named David Leonard chief operating officer and Elizabeth Bergey, MD, its first chief clinical officer. The appointments come as the company scales its radiology reporting and workflow products.
Rad AI has appointed David Leonard as chief operating officer and Elizabeth Bergey, MD, as its first chief clinical officer, according to the company.
The San Francisco-based radiology AI company said the appointments are intended to strengthen operational and clinical leadership as it scales its reporting products.
Leonard previously served as Rad AI’s head of operations, strategy, and investor relations. In the COO role, he will oversee global operations and focus on internal infrastructure, deployment, and go-to-market strategy, the company said.
Bergey, a board-certified radiologist, is moving from chief medical innovation officer to chief clinical officer. She will lead clinical strategy and medical affairs.
Before joining Rad AI, Bergey served as president and CEO of Quantum Radiology, a large radiology group in the Southeast, according to the announcement.
Both executives will serve on the company’s executive leadership team.
The company’s product suite includes Rad AI Reporting, Rad AI Impressions, and Rad AI Continuity, which are designed for radiology reporting, impression generation, and follow-up management.
In 2025, KLAS named Rad AI among the top 5 companies considered by health systems as an AI partner, based on a survey of 256 U.S. health system leaders, the company said.
