PDX models move into radiopharma preclinical testing
Perceptive Discovery and Certis Oncology will combine patient-derived xenograft tumor models with radiochemistry, imaging, pharmacology, and quantitative analysis capabilities.
Perceptive Discovery and Certis Oncology have formed a strategic collaboration to support preclinical radiopharmaceutical development.
The agreement gives Perceptive Discovery access to Certis Oncology’s study-ready in vivo patient-derived xenograft models. The models span multiple tumor types and molecular profiles.
Certis Oncology’s PDX models will be incorporated into Perceptive Discovery’s preclinical workflows for targeted radiotherapeutics and radiotracers.
The collaboration covers in vitro characterization, in vivo imaging, biodistribution, and efficacy assessment. It also includes molecularly characterized oncology models for target-specific and indication-focused development strategies.
Perceptive Discovery brings radiochemistry, multimodal imaging, in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, and quantitative image analysis capabilities to the collaboration.
Certis Oncology describes its platform as combining predictive modeling, multimodal datasets, and functional validation in patient-derived cancer models. The company operates a CLIA-certified, AAALAC- and OLAW-accredited laboratory in San Diego.
The companies said the collaboration is designed to generate decision-ready preclinical datasets for radiopharmaceutical sponsors, including exploratory, translational, and IND-enabling research programs.
