Pathology support broadens MedDream viewer scope

Version 8.9.0 is scheduled for June 2026 through aycan and will add support for pathology workflows and saving reconstructed MPR viewports as new study series.

MedDream 8.9.0 will add pathology support to the company’s HTML5 zero-footprint DICOM viewer when the release becomes available through aycan in June 2026. aycan has been a U.S. value-added reseller and technology partner for MedDream since 2017, according to the company announcement.

Another planned feature will let users save reconstructed multiplanar reconstruction viewports as a new series within a study. The web-based viewer integrates with aycan store PACS and is designed for browser access across computers and mobile devices, aycan said.

FDA records list MedDream under 510(k) K222320 as a radiology image-processing system, with a substantially equivalent decision dated December 6, 2022. aycan also described the viewer as CE Class IIb-certified.

aycan and MedDream plan to demonstrate the 8.9.0 release at SIIM26 in Pittsburgh from June 10 to 12 and at WHX Miami 2026 in Miami Beach, FL, from June 17 to 19. The companies listed MedDream booth #207 for SIIM26 and booth #R80 for WHX Miami.
