NYU-Bracco pact targets AI and advanced imaging research
The multiyear agreement will focus on MRI, photon-counting CT, targeted ultrasound, and AI-enabled PET/CT and MRI image analysis.
Bracco Imaging has signed a multiyear research agreement with NYU Langone Health to advance medical imaging innovation. The agreement is structured as a Master Research Agreement.
The collaboration will focus on MRI, photon-counting CT, targeted ultrasound, and AI-enabled PET/CT and MRI image analysis.
Bracco said the alliance is intended to accelerate the development and optimization of advanced imaging technologies. The companies said the work is aimed at supporting precision medicine and clinical decision-making.
Joint research activities will use NYU Langone Health’s clinical and academic resources alongside Bracco’s experience in contrast imaging and diagnostic solutions, according to the announcement.
The agreement is also designed to bring research and clinical practice closer together. Bracco said the goal is to help translate scientific discoveries into healthcare applications.
Fulvio Renoldi Bracco, vice chairman and CEO of Bracco Imaging, and Michael P. Recht, MD, chair of the Department of Radiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, commented on the agreement in the announcement.
