Lumexa adds 4 imaging centers, including first UPMC JV site
Lumexa Imaging added 4 outpatient imaging centers across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. The expansion includes acquired centers through joint ventures with UPMC and Advocate Health, plus 2 newly built locations.

Lumexa Imaging has added 4 outpatient imaging centers in 2026, including its first site through a new joint venture with UPMC.
Expansion includes locations in Spartanburg, SC; Concord, NC; Wexford, PA; and Niceville, FL.
Two locations were added through acquisitions with hospital joint venture partners. The Wexford center was acquired through the UPMC joint venture, while the Concord center was acquired through a separate partnership with Advocate Health.
Newly built centers in Spartanburg and Niceville are wholly owned by Lumexa.
The Raleigh, NC-based company now operates more than 190 outpatient imaging centers nationwide. About 85 of those centers are run through hospital joint ventures.
“This expansion reflects consistent execution against our focused growth model,” said Caitlin Zulla, CEO of Lumexa Imaging.
During the company’s May 12 earnings call, Zulla said Lumexa expects to announce at least a few newly built centers with UPMC this year. The company is targeting 8 to 10 de novo center openings annually.
First-quarter results were also released May 12. Consolidated revenue was $252.5M, up 3.1% from $245M in the same period last year.
Same-center advanced imaging volume grew 5.6%, while net income reached $1.7M, compared with a $7.7M net loss a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA was $51.2M, with a 20.3% adjusted EBITDA margin.
Full-year 2026 guidance remains unchanged, with expected consolidated revenue of $1.045B to $1.097B and adjusted EBITDA of $234M to $242M.
